The post

The Faculty wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to participate in the research project 'Shaping Competition in the Digital Age' (SCiDA, https://scidaproject.com/). The successful applicant will be participating in a comparative research of the UK, EU and German regimes for shaping competition in digital markets and contribute to teaching European Union Law and Law, Digital Markets & Competition modules.

The post will include conducting comparative theoretical, empirical and doctrinal research of UK Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act, EU Digital Markets Act and the amended German Competition Act; studying relevant legislation, jurisprudence, soft law, academic literature and policy discussions in order to produce high quality academic research and contribute to other activities within the SCiDA project.

About you

The successful applicant will be able to develop research objectives, projects and proposals; identify sources of research funding and contribute to the process of securing funds and make presentations at conferences and other events.

Applicants will possess a relevant PhD or equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study. The successful applicants will be a nationally recognised authority in Competition Law (preferably with the focus on Digital Markets) and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop research programmes and methodologies. The successful applicants will also be able to work collaboratively, supervise the work of others and act as team leaders as required. Applicants will be able to contribute to teaching of European Union Law and Law, Digital Markets & Competition modules.
