The Faculty of Theology and Religion is recruiting for a Part-time (0.2 FTE) personal assistant to the Regius Professor of Divinity, Andrew Davison, working mainly on correspondence, diary, and task management.

This role also offers the opportunity for hybrid working, and would be most effectively undertaken by someone who was willing to split the work across two or more days per week.
About the Role
The holder of this post will aid the Regius Professor of Divinity, Andrew Davison, principally with correspondence and overseeing his calendar. Diary responsibilities involve scheduling events, using initiative to make considered judgements when juggling demands, and working with the Professor to prioritise tasks and keep ahead of deadlines. Dealing with correspondence involves being the first point of contact for enquirers, collaborators, and students, almost entirely over email. Parameters would be established for where the holder of this post would answer on behalf of the Prof Davison immediately, draft a proposed response, or seek direction from him.
You will have:
• Experience of diary management, including making travel arrangements
• The ability to draft correspondence and answer emails courteously, as delegated
• Proficiency in audio/touch typing and computer skills
• A high standard of numeracy; the ability to manage finances
• Experience of working on confidential matters; tact and discretion
• The ability to manage and prioritise a varied and busy workload and work to deadlines
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
We are seeking an efficient, motivated, and resourceful administrator. Subject-specific experience in the Regius Professor of Divinity’s area of academic work is not required.
