About the Role
Applications are sought for an exciting opportunity within the Barts Cardiovascular Clinical Trials Unit (CVCTU) as a Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator. The holder will be responsible for leading planning, coordination and completing of the NIHR EME-funded delegated CVCTU trial: Puberty induction with Gonadotropin Treatment in Males with Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism (PinG Study). In addition, research opportunities within the CVCTU portfolio may arise from collaborations with the CVCTU director and academic leads. Practical on-the-job training will be available within this role and the candidate will work alongside a talented team of trial coordinators and data managers to set-up, run and complete clinical trials in cardiovascular research.
About You
You should possess a relevant degree or equivalent experience in clinical trial management activities. Your previous experience in all aspects of clinical research, including coordination and administration, particularly in MHRA regulated trials involving Investigational Medicinal Products, alongside your knowledge of how key legislation impacts delivery, will set you apart from your peers. This position is offered as fixed-term contract for two years in the first instance with the possibility to extend for a further two years.

The Barts Cardiovascular Clinical Trial Unit (Barts CVCTU) is a clinical trials unit specialising in clinical trials related to cardiovascular and metabolic health. Our current portfolio includes a range of studies such as parallel arm RCTs examining interventions on a national or international scale, and smaller-scale studies examining the ability of devices to monitor cardiovascular conditions. Further studies being adopted by the CVCTU include a registry study examining the relationship between sex hormones and cardiovascular outcomes and upcoming RCTs examining the impact of dietary supplements on long-term outcomes.
This diverse portfolio provides the opportunity for a trial coordinator to contribute to studies with a variety of study designs and statistical needs.
