We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Technician (Dental) to join the School of Human and Health Sciences. This is primarily to support the exciting new BSc (Hons) Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy course which will commence in September 2025.
The University of Huddersfield is a thriving university, and our excellent facilities are continuing to expand with state-of-the-art teaching, research and clinical facilities on the National Health Innovation Campus. We have a diverse student body and work closely with our public partnership group, health and social care, and education partners. In 2023, the University achieved the TEF Gold award, and its apprenticeship provision was graded as “Outstanding” by Ofsted.
The role is open to applicants who have experience of day-to-day operations within a dental clinic, experience of working in a simulated learning setting and a good understanding of relevant health and safety and related regulations. You will work with experienced academic and professional services colleagues to support the delivery of a course that is contemporary, future-looking and enables graduates to meet the challenges of service users and service needs. Commitment to providing a high level of service is essential.
You will be educated to a degree level in a health or science discipline or have equivalent education/training/work-based experience that shows your critical thinking and analysis, research and problem-solving skills. You will also have a good general education including GCSE at Grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications).
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all. Find out more about our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including our commitments and accreditations as a Disability Confident Employer, Stonewall Gold Award holder and Top 100 Employer, Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder and Race Equality Charter Bronze Award holder on our website.
