University of Essex Campus Services Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Essex, created in 2010 to manage its diverse range of commercial functions.
Soft FM Services are responsible for cleaning, portering and ancillary services to the university’s academic, administrative, and residential estate. Soft FM facilitates all university key events, such as graduation and open days and ensures areas are prepared for other events such as receptions and summer conferences.
Soft FM Services is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Supervisor to join our busy team.
Duties of the Role
The post holder is principally responsible for the supervision of Soft FM operational staff who provide cleaning, portering and ancillary services to the academic, administrative, residential and commercial estate at Colchester. Ensuring that Soft FM Services are delivered and maintained to the highest standards, including postal services. Accurate completion of departmental statutory paperwork. Implement all relevant health and safety legislation.

The successful candidate will have:
Appointment to this post will be made on a full-time (38 hours per week) permanent basis to be worked as required within the working operational window of 7.00am – 6.00pm, 5 days in 7 days. However, in the interests of working efficiency the University may from time-to-time review current working patterns. Changes to working patterns resulting from this will be subject to a minimum of 21 calendar days’ notice. The current working hours are 08:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
