Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a strong background in model theory? Are you enthusiastic about collaborative research around the connections between surreal numbers, transseries, o-minimality, valued fields, complex analytic functions and model theory at the University of Leeds?
We are looking for a Research Fellow to join our EPSRC-funded project “Model theory of analytic functions”, led by Dr Vincenzo Mantova. As part of the project, you will work on the boundary of model theory, differential algebra, and number theory to develop new insights about analytic functions. In particular, you will explore the connections between surreal numbers, transseries, classes of non-oscillating functions, valued fields, and o-minimality, and/or problems related to the model theory of complex exponentials and of modular functions.
We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
