The school seeks to appoint an Associate Professor to take on a leadership role in the delivery of apprenticeships in our postgraduate portfolio for Advanced Practice. This role will work closely with clinical and non-clinical subject experts to support curriculum design, course oversight as well as teaching and assessment within Advanced Practice.
In the first instance this job will focus on the leadership of our MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and Advanced Critical Care Practice Apprenticeship pathways. The role will enhance the high-quality delivery of Advanced Practice Education supporting our national clinical workforce and in doing so, improving and saving lives.
About You
This role requires an experienced educator to lead and collaborate with clinical programme teams in the design, development, and implementation of curricula for our Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) and Advanced Critical Care Practice (ACCP) programmes. This is a part-time role equivalent to two full working days per week on a two-year fixed term basis in the first instance. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for our Degree Apprenticeship pathways for ACP and ACCP, ensuring high-quality educational provision and alignment with professional standards.
The Apprenticeship Lead/Course Director will work in close collaboration with Course Directors for ACP and ACCP, as well as the Deputy Academic Lead and Academic Lead for Advanced Practice.
This role encompasses a broad range of academic teaching responsibilities, including student supervision and delivery of lectures in areas of expertise across various programmes, etc. Applications are invited from suitably qualified academics to join the Postgraduate Education team and fulfil the listed duties and responsibilities below.
