This is a fixed term appointment for 3 years
This role will work jointly between the Global School of Sustainability and the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. It offers an exciting opportunity to lead the Secretariat for the Global Impact Group, supporting high-level international policymaking on sustainable growth and development, shaping global agendas on climate, energy, and resilience.
The Senior Policy Fellow will develop and implement strategies that inform global policymaking on sustainable growth and development. The role involves managing key work programmes, engaging with high-level decision-makers, and coordinating impactful research and policy initiatives across both institutions.
Candidates should have a PHD or equivalent experience in economics or a related field by the post start date and a detailed knowledge and understanding of issues relating to climate, energy, economics, and development. Extensive experience of working with or within policy institutions at the highest levels on issues relating to climate, energy, economics, and development. Experience of engaging with high-level international decision-making networks. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English, with the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences.
