This is a fixed term appointment for 24 months and is 0.5 FTE
The Cañada Blanch Centre for Contemporary Spanish Studies is located within the Department of Geography and Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science and is focus of a flourishing interest in contemporary Spain in Britain.
Among its objectives, the Centre seeks to stimulate the debate and new knowledge creation in any of the global challenges that have direct implications for Spain and/or the UK. These will include, among others, issues such as sustainable development; climate change; the rise of inequalities; demographic change and migration; innovation, technology and productivity; the state of democracy, governance and government; the challenges of European integration; education and employment; health challenges; or the gender and ethnic gaps.
The Cañada Blanch Centre is looking ahead to hire a Part-time Administrator to manage the daily activities of the Centre. The part-time (0.5FTE) administrator will contribute to a wide range of initiatives including but not limited to:
Full proficiency in English is essential, with the candidate able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of Spanish is desirable. Examples of data administration and office procedures are welcome as is experience of providing excellent customer service.
