The People Operations team sits within the People and Organisational Development Directorate and provides Goldsmiths' with essential recruitment and selection, onboarding and people administration services.
About the Role
Managing the People Operations team, the People Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating the provision of an excellent Recruitment and HR transactional service. This is achieved by maximising the effectiveness and efficiency of our People Operations processes and ensuring an excellent quality of customer service to both our internal and external customers.
Reporting to the Assistant Director (People Operations, Data and Systems), the role holder manages the workload of the People Operations team to ensure all recruitment and operational transactions are carried out in a timely manner. This is pivotal in ensuring that we provide an effective recruitment and selection service to the University, and that our staff are paid in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with our internal People and Payroll policies and in line with HM Revenue & Customs legislation.
Working closely with the Assistant Director (People Operations, Data and Systems), the broader POD team and colleagues in Payroll, the role holder will be expected to liaise with all employee types across the University.
About the Candidate
You will be an experienced people manager with a passion for delivering a high-quality of service to customers. With Associate membership of CIPD (or equivalent demonstrable experience in HR), you will be key in advancing the function through your commitment to process improvement and developing the team to ensure service delivery and compliance.
