Our University
Ravensbourne University London is an innovative, industry-focused university located at the heart of London’s newest creative community on the Greenwich Peninsula. We're champions of creativity and collaboration, dedicated to giving our learners the specialist skills and opportunities they need for outstanding careers in digital media and design.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced course leader who can work together with our existing team to deliver and evolve our undergraduate degree course. Our expanded portfolio of photography courses has resulted in staff movement and so we now need additional staff to deliver in this growing area for Ravensbourne.
Sitting within the Design department, our more commercially driven photography course needs a candidate who has course leader experience and a proven track record of student first approach. Working successfully with and within a team is a high priority. A practical and hands-on teaching style is essential, along with an international research profile that can be demonstrated as influencing the teaching experience and curriculum development of the course.
The role includes teaching in the region of 16 hours per week in our purpose-built Photographic studio environment, leading and coaching the photography team, and engaging in curriculum development whilst working alongside a range of disciplines both within the design department and with other departments such as fashion.
At Ravensbourne University London, we are focused on preparing students for industry. This means working to high standards with complex and evolving technology and being familiar with the direction of the industry. You’ll be working closely with our MFA/MA Digital Photography course leader to further our current collaborations with prominent industry partners and an innovative work-based learning programme.
If you have a passion for guiding students toward success in the ever-evolving world of photography, specialising in a hands-on, commercial approach, please consider applying to join our team.
