The Information Systems team of the Department of Health Data Science is seeking a talented and self-motivated individual to take on the role of Digital Solutions Architect/Developer.
You will be delivering applications and innovations to support the University of Liverpool as a leader in health research.
To facilitate this, you will be given the opportunity to develop interests relevant to the role and to work with a cross disciplinary team (including researchers and clinicians) from within the University and collaborators across the UK.
The nature of the work that is undertaken by the IS team requires that you can communicate effectively with the whole range of specialities within a clinical research program, i.e. senior clinicians through to research nurses, statisticians, data managers and trial co-ordinators. You would have a passion for technology and a strategic view on how advances in techniques can be applied to the development of applications for clinical and health informatics research.
You will take responsibility for the management and delivery of software projects, ensuring compliance with LCTC SOPs and University of Liverpool policies and regulations. You will be accountable to the Head of Information Systems, who will provide mentorship. Professional development will be supported and appropriate training will be provided as required.
You should have a degree or equivalent qualification, or relevant professional experience.
There is a permanent commitment of the University to this role though funding is a mixture of core support and research funding with a fixed-term profile (18 months in the first instance).
Commitment to Diversity
The University of Liverpool is committed to enhancing workforce diversity. We actively seek to attract, develop, and retain colleagues with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We welcome applications from all genders/gender identities, Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic backgrounds, individuals living with a disability, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
