About the role
University College London (UCL) wishes to appoint a Grade 10 Professor in Construction Management. The post holder will be based at The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction at the Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, a world-leading faculty ranked #1 in the world for Built Environment studies and #1 in the UK for its research environment. The post holder will carry out teaching, research, and programme administration within the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, in the field of Construction Management, consistent with the vision and mission of The School. This is an open-ended, full-time position.
About you (key requirements)
The successful applicant will be expected to deliver high quality teaching and fostering a positive, supportive learning environment for students. They will have the ability to supervise academic work by students at all levels, including dissertations. The postholder will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills that support engagement with students, staff and external stakeholders and the ability to work collaboratively with academic and professional services staff. The appointee is required to have a PhD in a relevant engineering and/or construction-related discipline or evidence of equivalent research experience, significant research publications track record in construction management and evidence of enabling others in the field. As well as substantial international reputation in scholarship and research in the field of construction management.
