About us
The Institute of Neurology (IoN) Education Team is a key component of the of the IoN Central Professional Services support teams (IoN Head Office), led by the Institute Manager.
About the role
You will work closely with the dedicated course administrators on the delivery and development of both the undergraduate Clinical Neurology & Brain Sciences iBSc (for 3rd year MBBS students) and the postgraduate MSc/PG Certificate/PG Diploma in Clinical Neurology via Distance Learning (CNDL) courses.
You will design lectures and tutor resources, design other activities intended to promote student engagement, and engage with students on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
You will also participate in teaching delivery, student assessment and supervision, provision of pastoral care, and the student admissions process.
The role is available from 02 June 2025. We would be happy to consider candidates looking to work part-time on a job share basis or similar; please indicate in your application how many hours per week you would like to work if this is the case.
The role is part time, 32.85 hours per week (0.9 FTE).

About you
You will be GMC registered with an Honours degree in Medicine and have teaching experience, including delivering lectures or tutorials, assessment of student work, and student supervision. Experience of managing or leading a teaching team, of developing module content, and of the effective design and delivery of teaching and assessment is essential. The ability to use feedback to support continuous improvement, work harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and backgrounds, and a commitment to high quality research-based teaching is also key for this role.
This role meets the eligibility requirements for a skilled worker certificate of sponsorship or a global talent visa under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL welcomes applications from international applicants who require a visa.

The post is graded as UCL Grade 9 with salary in the range £60,606.90 -£65,827.80 (i.e., 90% of £67,341 - £73,142) per annum including London Allowance.
