The University of Liverpool is undertaking an ambitious Finance Transformation Programme, which includes migrating its current on-premise Finance System (Unit4) to a cloud-based platform. Partnering with key external stakeholders, the University is embracing an “adopt, don’t adapt” approach, leveraging standard system functionality to maximise efficiency. You will take full responsibility for business analysis on a complex IT-related change project. Your work will involve understanding stakeholder needs and your analysis will support strategic programme decision-making. You will capture, analyse, prioritise, validate and co-ordinate the sign-off of requirements. You will understand and document complex as-is and to-be business processes and data integrations between multiple systems and carry out gap analysis and other activities to support IT solution design. You will also play a key role in supporting solution testing and implementation.
You will be responsible for planning and managing the analysis needed for each of your projects. You will work collaboratively with project and programme managers to shape project or programme plans. You will sometimes manage projects yourself or co-ordinate the work of other analysts and project team members. You will work closely with developers, infrastructure teams, enterprise and data architects and stakeholders from across the University. You will present information visually, verbally and in writing and be responsible for producing high quality and accurate business analysis outputs.
This post is fixed term for 2 years.
