The Role
Working closely with colleagues across the University of London and within the federation members, the Quality Team’s main responsibilities are: to support the University of London in monitoring and managing its performance; to ensure the quality and standards of programmes and awards of the University of London; to contribute to the enhancement of the student experience through the provision of expertise, frameworks and systems to ensure quality.
The Quality Manager is one of a team of specialists with responsibility for the planning, delivery and oversight of aspects of the quality framework. Quality Managers use their knowledge and understanding of quality assurance and standards, academic policy, quality processes and the University of London business and priorities to secure the quality of programmes delivered through the University of London Worldwide, the School of Advanced Study, and the University of London Institute in Paris, and thereby ensure the standards of the awards of the University of London.
The Quality Manager will take forward responsibilities within an agreed quality portfolio reflecting the knowledge, experience and skill set of the individual. The division of responsibilities will therefore remain under regular review. The following job content covers the broad responsibilities of quality management with detailed specific responsibilities to be agreed in consultation with the Head of Quality.
