About the role
Are you interested in joining a dynamic, high-performing Alumni Relations team at one of the UK’s leading universities? King’s College London is looking to recruit an ambitious Senior Alumni Manager (Volunteering) to provide excellent leadership of the alumni volunteering section, and strategic oversight of King’s global alumni volunteering programme.
As Senior Alumni Manager (Volunteering) you will have oversight of all aspects of the volunteer experience. Working closely with colleagues across philanthropy, Advancement Communications & Engagement and the wider university, you will drive the strategy to engage our global alumni community through a comprehensive volunteer programme. This includes oversight of an established International Alumni Leaders programme, Associations, and professional development pathways, finding opportunities for alumni to contribute, especially to the prospective and current students experience.
You will have ownership of a portfolio of influential alumni in priority regions and be responsible for curating meaningful opportunities to bring these important stakeholders closer to King’s. With travel included, you will be integral in developing stronger connectivity with senior alumni and rising stars internationally in preparation for the launch of King’s next fundraising and engagement campaign.
As an exceptional relationship builder, you’ll use communication skills and a high level of cultural competency, combined with the ability to rigorously plan to deliver a diverse portfolio of activities within a changing landscape. You will have the ability to influence a range of internal and external stakeholders and strong people management skills to support and develop team members. Finally, you will be a strategic and creative thinker, and confident trialling new approaches to engage and inspire our most influential alumni.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31 May 2026. P&A has a hybrid working approach, with a minimum of 40% of time in the office. Typically, this equates to two days per week, but we’re very happy for colleagues to be in more frequently if they so wish.
