Fixed Term Lecturer in Philosophy (Teaching Focused)
We are looking for talented individuals with solid grounding in the teaching of philosophy and the ability to teach a range of core philosophy modules at UG and PGT level. The ability to teach courses in the philosophy of language, applied philosophy or early modern history of philosophy is essential.
Applicants must have a relevant PhD (or equivalent), and demonstrate the ability to engage in innovative teaching, meet flexible curricular and teaching needs, and demonstrate capability to contribute organisationally to the wider School community as well as demonstrate a commitment to pedagogy and ambition to take leadership responsibilities in the development of teaching.
The Philosophy Department sits within the School of Social Sciences and is internationally recognised for pursuing high quality research across all areas of Philosophy and delivering excellent teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
