The Anatomy Department at King’s has a rich history, exceptional facilities, and world-class, progressive educators and researchers. Our diverse expertise in Education and Science Communication, Cell & Developmental Biology, and Tissue Engineering & Imaging Sciences fuel our modern, research-led education delivery. We are a collaborative multidisciplinary department working to understand the structure and function of the human body, from cells to organ systems, including development, ageing and evolution.
Anatomy is a fundamental subject in the biomedical sciences that fosters creativity and curiosity. We are proud to use traditional dissection coupled with cutting-edge technology and imaging in our education practice, developing widely transferrable practical abilities, as well as skills in exploration and observation, documentation and communication.

* Please note that this is a PhD level role but candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting award of their PhDs will be considered. In these circumstances the appointment will be made at Grade 5, spine point 30 with the title of Research Assistant. Upon confirmation of the award of the PhD, the job title will become Research Associate and the salary will increase to Grade 6.
