The School delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings alongside a large portfolio of CPD courses.
The Role
As Assistant Professor (Teaching) in Adult Nursing you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience. You will also lead on aspects of the student learning experience including the leadership of staff teams.
Based on campus within the School of Health and Care, you will work with and lead colleagues to enrich the student experience to ensure relevant aspects of research, enterprise and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.
Duties include:
Course coordination
Leading the curation, adaptation, design and development of module and course teaching materials and contributing to ongoing Curriculum Development.
Teaching on modules and courses at HE levels 4-7, and leading teams of teaching staff.
Qualifications Required
Our Successful Candidate
You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Adult Nursing with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience in the development and enhancement of an ‘active learning’ pedagogy as appropriate.
