About the role
The communications team directly contributes to the delivery of the Foundation’s objectives, ensuring effective communication of our work to influence the ongoing development and improved delivery of healthcare policy and practice in the UK. The remit of the team’s external affairs function includes public affairs, stakeholder relations, media relations, integrated communications, and corporate communications.
Currently have an opportunity for an External Affairs Officer to join the team on a 6-month fixed term basis. This role will contribute to the achievement of the Health Foundation’s overarching influencing and communications strategies by supporting the external affairs team in effectively delivering high-quality public affairs, stakeholder relations, media, and integrated communications activity.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in public affairs and stakeholder relations. With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. This role will also provide some additional support to our media and press work – experience in media relations is desirable and knowledge of the healthcare policy landscape within the UK would be advantageous.
