About us

We are UCL: a diverse community with the freedom to challenge and think differently. From cancer research to climate change, dementia to social inequality, the world is facing huge challenges and we’re determined to solve them.

There has never been a more exciting time to join the Advancement office as we plan for our biggest ever fundraising and engagement campaign and support the delivery of the bicentennial programme in 2026. We are a team of exceptionally ambitious, creative and passionate individuals who work together to achieve remarkable things with a global impact, and we would love for you to be part of this exciting journey and our success.

Equity, diversity and inclusion is important to us. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone is encouraged to give their best in a place where their unique experiences, perspectives and skills are seen as valuable assets.

About the role

You'll be working to secure philanthropic income at the five and low six-figure level from high-net-worth individuals, supporting fundraising priorities of four faculties: Arts and Humanities, Social and Historical Sciences, Laws and Education and Society, as well as for UCL’s libraries, special collections and cultural programmes.

You'll be working to realise the potential of a strong pipeline of prospects and elevate the impact of philanthropy within the aforementioned faculties. UCL has much to offer philanthropists with a deep appreciation for the arts, culture and humanities and this role will give you the opportunity to work closely with colleagues in world-leading departments on a wide range of strategic funding propositions.

We're happy to consider part-time, flexible and job share basis requests wherever possible (minimum 0.8 FTE – equivalent of 4 days per week, stated salary to be pro-rata).

This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site. Please note our in-office team day is Tuesday.

To hear more about the role, email Kate Birch, Senior Philanthropy Manager (Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences):

Please use the attach cover letter upload option to demonstrate how you meet the criteria in the person specification.
