At Manchester Metropolitan University, we're looking for an enthusiastic individual with solid customer service skills to join our Hardware & Logistics team.

IT & Digital is central to delivering the University's core goals and the experience MMU offers to both professional colleagues and students. We are committed to developing and maintaining flexible, serviceable, and scalable services that reflect the changing needs of our growing University.

About the Role

Working within Hardware & Logistics, you will be the face of IT & Digital at the University!

Our Face-to-Face service is often a new staff member's first interaction with IT, and the value of a good first impression cannot be understated. You will be fully based on the campus as this is a fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference to the daily teaching and learning experience of our staff and students.

Additionally, you will also support delivery of change projects across the University, including office moves, new IT labs, and upgrading existing IT within teaching spaces.

Key Requirements

  • Ability to clarify non-routine matters and explain complicated matters clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Liaises with a variety of contacts to disseminate information in the right format at the right time
  • Ability to diagnose IT & AV problems from conversations with users with a wide variety of technical understanding
  • Experience of providing Audio Visual support
  • Experience of diagnosing and solving IT or AV problems in a professional environment
