A position is available in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge for a Research Assistant/Associate to develop cutting-edge digital technologies for infrastructure.
The post holder will be located in West Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK.
The successful candidate will contribute to a major research effort focused on Digital Infrastructure and work closely with both national and international academic and industry partners. The role involves the development of innovative solutions for applications such as tunnels, bridges, buildings and shafts.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to transformative research at the intersection of digital innovation and civil engineering. Applicants are expected to have (or be close to obtaining) a PhD in information engineering, computer science, civil engineering or cognate discipline. They should also have good written and spoken communication skills in English, a strong record of academic and/or professional achievement and previous experience of digital research work.
Appointment at Research Associate level is dependent on having a PhD. Those who have submitted but not yet received their PhD will be appointed at Research Assistant level, which will be amended to Research Associate once the PhD has been awarded.
Salary Ranges:
Research Assistant: £32,546 - £35,116
Research Associate: £37,174 - £45,413
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
