The School of Education at Liverpool Hope is expanding, responding, and anticipating changes in the sector. Building upon our success, evidenced most recently by exceptional results in the national student satisfaction survey and the Good Universities guide, we are now seeking experienced colleagues to join us to make a major contribution to the development and leadership of the undergraduate Primary Education course as Course Leader and teach across all Primary Education routes within the school.
The role will be of considerable significance moving forward, and we are looking for applicants who have the professional expertise and commitment to ensure that the curriculum is ambitious, carefully sequenced, and underpinned by our commitment to inclusion and social justice. The person appointed will have a high level of expertise in primary education. Additionally, as a highly skilled professional, substantial recent experience in professional contexts such as educational research and knowledge exchange, curriculum development, school or HEI leadership and experience across multiple key stages and curricular subjects is desirable. Applications will be particularly welcomed with expertise in Geography and / or English.
We are looking for professionals who understand the importance of the university-school partnership and will be skilled in strengthening relationships with schools.
We are looking for an individual who will bring enthusiasm and a sense of vocation for their chosen subject and profession, with demonstrable successful experience in an educational context. Support will be provided to develop the successful applicant to be a leading Teacher Educator. Bringing substantial, recent, and relevant professional experience, which may be within an HEI or a school centred initial teacher training provision, you will be looking for an opportunity to work with others to ensure that Hope ECTs and graduates will be effective, reflective, fully informed, and committed curriculum shapers of the future.
We recruit staff nationally and internationally as we seek out the best to help build Hope for the future. If you join us you will be doing so that an exciting and challenging time as we work to build a liberal arts-inspired university of distinction in the UK.
