We have an exciting opportunity for Academic Engagement Coach to join the Student Support and Success Directorate to work at the heart of our work to support students to reach their full potential in their academic studies. We are looking for a driven, innovative, self-aware person who is passionate about making a positive difference through a proactive approach to academic support, to enable their students successfully continue, progress and complete their studies.
Based within Computing, the Academic Engagement Coach is at the heart of our work supporting our students as they work towards successfully completing their degrees. You’ll be in a strategic role, designing study plans with students and working with academic colleagues and specialist professional services teams to ensure that we put in place early interventions, as well as supporting high performing students to achieve the best degree outcomes.
As an Academic Engagement Coach will be expected to be an outstanding communicator, with a commitment to supporting every single student within their designated academic school/faculty. You will be a proactive, engaging and confident in your approach, no issue will be too large or too small for you to get to grips with. You will be key in identifying trends, designing and implementing interventions and working with the wider and key stakeholders to drive change with the objective of improving student attendance, retention and progression and student outcomes.
