This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Summary of the role

We are seeking an experienced prospect researcher to support the Head of Data and Prospect Research in the management of the prospect research function within the Global Advancement office (part of the External Engagement and Global Division).

The Prospect Research team is responsible for identifying, researching and assessing potential philanthropic supporters of the University of Exeter to maintain a strong pool of major donor prospects to support the Philanthropy team in soliciting gifts to the University. It is also responsible for conducting the due diligence on those prospective supporters.  

The postholder will be responsible for line-managing the prospect research team and also hold responsibility for pool management of Leadership Officer, Development Manager and Senior Development Manager pools (gifts from £25,000 to £250,000).

The individual should be a good communicator and keen collaborator who enjoys supporting and developing colleagues to achieve organisational success. They should be capable of building strong relationships with fundraisers and confident in supporting the development and execution of cultivation plans alongside those fundraisers. The postholder should be motivated by the overall success of the Global Advancement team and keen to play a role in promoting the collaboration required to achieve that.
