We are looking for an experienced Anglican Chaplain to take forward our multifaith Chaplaincy at the University of Greenwich working with students and staff of all faiths and none.
The successful candidate will take chaplaincy forward by building strong networks with the whole of the University of Greenwich Community; particularly those who are responsible for the wellbeing of students, including Student Services, Academic teams and the Students’ Union, seeking to support them in their day-to-day work as well as supporting the University’s strategies in particular those that pertain to health and wellbeing.
This will involve co-creation that imaginatively develops a chaplaincy that helps to foster and build community spirit that is reflective of the student and staff body and inclusive of all people; continue to develop and lead a multifaith chaplaincy team at the Avery Hill and Greenwich Campuses meeting regularly with the existing chaplaincy team to proactively plan coordinated chaplaincy work, develop and coordinate the chaplaincy team of volunteer Chaplains identifying their roles and responsibilities and providing support for their work.

Applicants must be an ordained Anglican priest, who will meet the requirements for being granted a licence for ministry by the Bishop of Southwark, have a degree or equivalent qualification in Theology and commitment to chaplaincy. Accommodation for the role is provided at our Avery Hill Campus. All Utility bills are included. Applicants should note that this accommodation would be in one of our halls of residence and would not be suitable for children.
