An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Procurement and Commercial Services Department, within the University of Greenwich.
As the Senior Procurement Partnership Manager, you will be supporting the University with the efficient purchasing and tendering across a wide range of categories to support student outcomes. You will play an important role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of these projects within tight timetables, providing accurate information for sound decision-making with reduced risks and not compromising quality.
As part of the Senior Management Team for Procurement and Commercial Services, you will line manage and lead a small team of Procurement professionals for Health and Science and a small Print Unit to establish and enhance robust relationships within the aligned business area covering Health and Science and wider University, to drive productive collaboration between the stakeholders and the procurement function in the effective forward planning of procurement/projects requirements.
Responsible for the tendering of bespoke contracts for goods, services and works, including research, preparation, issue, scheduling, evaluation, reporting on tenders and awards and the management of contracts, you will have knowledge and experience of procurement and its application within the public sector. This knowledge must be underpinned by theory and experience. Good Contract management experience to support the business would be an advantage.
You will be working in a supporting environment offering variety, interest and opportunities to enhance your development in the Procurement profession. The University has strong values and the Procurement and Commercial Services Department has been instrumental in supporting our Stonewall Accreditation and supporting people in advancing their career in procurement.
We are seeking someone with extensive experience of working with contractors, suppliers and consultants and a wide range of clients, working knowledge of competitive tendering and sourcing, preferably in goods, services or construction.
