Fixed Term project role for 26 months with potential for further employment with Trelleborg Nottingham Ltd.

About the Role

We wish to recruit an insightful and adaptable graduate who can translate theoretical knowledge into practice by supporting the creation of an innovative SMART mattress system.

The project is technology related, and requires a skill set incorporating both electrical and software engineering. You will have the opportunity to work alongside both world leading academics at NTU and talented product design experts at Trelleborg Nottingham to create a system which will enhance patient care, reduce medical interventions, and position Trelleborg Nottingham as a smart fabrics leader.

Key project activities will include developing an interface of hardware and software, prototyping the system and preparing for a scale-up in production. This role will be primarily based at the Trelleborg Nottingham site with occasional working at Nottingham Trent University’s Clifton Campus.

About the Project

This position forms part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) funded jointly by Innovate UK and Trelleborg Nottingham Ltd. As a KTP Associate you will work within Trelleborg Nottingham to develop and embed knowledge, with research and academic support from NTU. KTPs offer the ideal opportunity to apply your degree through real work and springboard your career.
