About the Role
Applications are invited for a Research Nurse post to facilitate the recruitment and management of clinical research involving the pathogenesis of infectious mononucleosis (IM) in patients diagnosed and managed within Barts Health. This study will focus on the diagnosis and outcome of IM and the immunological effects of EBV infection. The post holder will be responsible to attend A&E and outpatient clinics at the Royal London Hospital and as the studies evolve, this may extend to the Mile End, Whips Cross and New Ham Hospitals to enrol eligible participants per the criteria described in the protocol. The postholder will work within Professor Giovannoni’s Team and is based at our Whitechapel Campus in London.
About You
A highly-motivated and driven Research Nurse who is experienced in clinical research studies and phlebotomy. Experience in recruiting participants and working with research and development departments will both be an advantage, but we are particularly looking for enthusiasm, strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously and meet required targets.

The Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is one of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL. The Institute comprises approximately 360 staff based in four academic Centre’s and one Public Engagement Centre and supports a combined total of c700 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.
