Applications are invited for an appointment as Lecturer of Type A in Statistical Science at the University of Galway. We have a strong international reputation in Statistical Science research and in translating this into high quality research-led teaching programmes.
Academics in the Discipline have a strong track record of teaching and research in topics including statistical modelling, biostatistics, sports analytics and data science. The school includes the members of the Data Science Institute (DSI) and the associated Insight SFI Centre for Data Analytics, which has a strong international reputation in data science. We are seeking to recruit a talented Lecturer in Statistical Science for teaching and supervision. The successful candidate will primarily contribute to curriculum and course design, preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials, project supervision and general examination and other assessment responsibilities in the area of statistics/data science.

Salary: €63,624 to €101,498 pro rata p.a (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)
