The Department of Social Anthropology is seeking to appoint a Post-doctoral Research Associate to work alongside the William Wyse Professor of Social Anthropology, Prof. Rebecca Cassidy.
The Research Associate will support a range of activities on the theme of succession, defined as the process by which the species and habitat in an area change over time.
The postholder will have an opportunity to:
Eligible candidates will be at an early stage of their career and the role would suit newly qualified researchers. You will have a proven interest in topics related to the study of social anthropology with relevance for the Multispecies Succession project, for example multispecies anthropology, kinship, and/or the study of the natural sciences.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2028.
