The Psychology Department within the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences is seeking a RA on a full time, fixed term contract until September 2026. This post is expected to commence in June 2025. 

An opening is available for a research assistant post as part of an MRC funded early healthcare intervention project. The project involves the co-design of a new digital health intervention to support adolescents with ADHD with emotion regulation.

The RA will join the project during the prototyping and early evaluation phase. The purpose of the role is to insist in the further development of the prototype (in collaboration with young people with ADHD, academic experts and clinicians), in implementing a small-scale evaluation study. 

The role shall be based within the Psychology Building, 7 George Square. Opportunities for discussion on informal hybrid workplace arrangements can be discussed at the time of offer, however please note that some on campus working is required.

Your skills and attributes for success: 

• First degree in Psychology or other relevant subject area – to be approved by the team.
  Current knowledge of ADHD and adolescent mental health.
• Research experience in studies with young people.
• Willingness to engage with FAIR and open science practices.
• The ability to communicate complex information clearly orally and in writing within a multi-disciplinary team.
