The Digital Education Service (DES) at the University of Leeds is at the forefront of transforming teaching and learning through innovative digital solutions. The Digital Learning Design team leads the creation of high-quality online and blended learning experiences aligned with institutional priorities, including Curriculum Redefined. This role will build and sustain strategic partnerships with key internal stakeholders including the University Library and within the Student Education and Experience Directorates, and also provide educational oversight of professional learning projects, focusing on supporting academic and professional education to ensure learners are equipped with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a global context.
As the Digital Education Manager, you will drive the strategic direction and operational delivery of digital learning design initiatives. You will lead a dynamic team of course development managers and instructional designers, ensuring the delivery of innovative, accessible, and inclusive learning solutions. This senior role will involve extensive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging emerging technologies and pedagogies to achieve transformative educational outcomes. For professional learning projects, you will act as the key educational contact point, from scoping through to delivery, coordinating learning design, course development and production teams across the Service, providing quality assurance and overseeing work undertaken by external suppliers.
This role reports to the Head of Digital Education Enhancement & Design, with a dotted line to the Head of Online Learning and the Head of Partnerships & Engagement for oversight of professional learning projects.
