We are currently looking for a full-time staff member for a 12-month maternity leave cover. This role is blended, with at least 3 days spent in the office at the heart of the campus and others working from home.
What will the role involve?
We are seeking a Student Support Officer to join our team of advisers. The Student Support Officer plays a vital role in helping students reach the appropriate support team through initial triage of referrals. This role involves working with our lowest risk category students, assisting them in navigating our support services. Responsibilities include managing a triage caseload, identifying their ongoing wellbeing needs, and handling calls, emails, workflows and initial queries related to disability and wellbeing support. Additionally, the Student Support Officer will support colleagues by contributing to training delivery, answering questions, and ensuring the University community is aware of the various support options available to students.
The work is fast paced, often reactive, and always presents new challenges. You will need a high level of resilience, but you will be part of a dynamic, rapidly evolving campus, surrounded by people passionate about making a difference in students' lives.
