We are seeking to recruit a Senior Lecturer in Social Work to join our Social Work academic team. The role is based in the School of Applied Social Sciences in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. The Faculty is home to four academic Schools which also includes the School of Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing and Midwifery.
Role
As Senior Lecturer in Social Work, you will contribute to the teaching, learning, assessment and research in Social Work. This will include planning and delivering teaching to students and undertaking module/programme leadership and other programme responsibilities. You will be involved in tutorial responsibilities (including placement visits), dissertation supervision and a contribution to teaching and research across the School, Faculty, and University and with external partners where appropriate.
In your role as Senior Lecturer in Social Work, you will be expected to have a primary input into the social work undergraduate and post graduate provision and will be required to work with stakeholder partners.
Ideal Candidate
To be successful as a Senior Lecturer in Social Work, you will have proven academic expertise, teaching and leading both UG and PG modules, and significant practice experience in the field of Social Work. You will have achieved a Postgraduate qualification in Social Work and be a registered social worker with Social Work England. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have expertise in Adult Social Work.
You must demonstrate your knowledge of contemporary developments in the field of social work and wider awareness of developments in the social care field. You should have experience of working in partnership with health and social care organisations.
