Do you have a background in Higher Education administration or communications, preferably within a Performing Arts institution?
Would you relish the opportunity to join our Teaching & Learning team, working closely with our Vice Principals in support of all of the administration and communication that underpins the smooth-running of our courses?
In September 2022 Italia Conti relocated from its three historic sites to one brand new purpose-built campus in central Woking. Bringing our 650 students, 140 staff and Sessional Tutors and 15 courses together under one roof for the very first time was a hugely exciting step for us.
We’ve grown significantly and developed since then, introducing exciting degree and masters-level programmes and innovative routes into the performing arts industry for our graduates. However, any scaling up exercise brings renewed challenges of communication and ensuring everyone is on board and in the loop. Our Chief Operating Officer is shortly going on maternity leave which has opened up the possibility of this exciting new non-teaching fixed-term post within our Teaching & Learning team. The postholder will work closely with our two Directors of Acting and Musical Theatre & Dance and alongside our existing hardworking team with a particular focus on ensuring key information germane to the smooth-running of our exciting courses and programmes is conveyed across the institution and externally.
Your brilliant communication skills and ability to keep ‘one step ahead’ will be integral to your success in the post. What will really mark you out as a strong candidate will be your excellent relationship-building, organisational and administrative skills. And naturally, you’ll love what we do, be willing to get stuck in and be an all-round communicator – articulate, open, collaborative and a pleasure to work with.
Ideally, you’ll have a good undergraduate degree/diploma in a relevant discipline or a thorough understanding and awareness of all the underpinning administration needed to ensure the planning and smooth-running of an institution gained through experience.
If you are an experienced, HE/FE administrator with a strong background in internal and external communication and a demonstrative track-record of collaboration – and if you’re looking for an opportunity to really make an impact on an institution and this sounds like a challenge that would inspire you, we would love to hear from you.
For further details of the opportunity and of how to apply, visit our website via the 'Apply' button above.
The closing date for applications is Monday 31 March 2025 at 6.00pm.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Only applicants shortlisted for interview will be contacted.
We foster a business culture where decisions and ideas from all people help us innovate, grow, and create the best environment for our students and staff and ensure we stay relevant in a rapidly changing world.
Equality, diversity, and inclusion matters at Italia Conti. We promote a working environment where we value and respect every individual's unique contribution, enabling all of our employees to thrive and achieve their full potential. We try to embed an inclusive mindset in everything we do.
We positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, gender, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, or religion or belief. As part of our drive to improve representation within our staff team, we would particularly welcome interest from Global Majority and LGBTQI+ applicants.
