The role
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer with interests in any area of Computer Science to join our growing team. Scientists with interests in any area of computer science including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Urban Analyticsx, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Distributed Networks, Theory, Human-Computer Interaction or Software Engineering are welcome to apply. A track record of engagement outside of Computer Science and of interdisciplinary work, including in biosciences, law, psychology, neuroscience, society, the creative industries, business, health, environment and sustainability, or defence and security, are encouraged. We particularly encourage applicants with a strong track record of publication and/or with a track record of engagement and impact. We are seeking innovative and forward-thinking researchers who have an independent, internationally recognised, research track record in their field.
The successful candidate will be expected to drive research excellence while shaping innovative teaching approaches. They will be an enthusiastic educator, interested in cutting edge methods that support students at all levels through undergraduate and postgraduate Computer Science programmes.
