Applications are invited for the post of Course Coordinator for the MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development (ESD) which is based in the Centre for Sustainable Development at the Department's site in Central Cambridge. The MPhil is a one year full-time taught Master's programme and the Course Coordinator will manage the course processes, support systems and communications on behalf of the Department to ensure the successful delivery of the course. You will also be responsible for management of the course budget, in collaboration with the MPhil Course Director.
The successful applicant will be educated to degree level/Level 6 vocational qualification or an equivalent level of practical experience and demonstrate advanced knowledge of programme/course coordination involving critical understanding of relevant theory and/or principles. You will be an experienced user of Microsoft Office 365 and possess excellent organisational skills. The ability to work as part of a team, as well as provide clear leadership when necessary, is essential and excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be required to fulfill this role effectively as you will be required to deal sympathetically and effectively with a wide range of people.
Previous experience of working in an administrative/project management role would be desirable, together with experience of website management, working in a university administrative environment and managing GDPR compliance. Experience in process improvement and documentation development, as well as development and implementation of inclusive practices, would also be desirable. Occasional work outside of normal office hours will be required.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
