We are recruiting to the role of English Tutor to join our new group organisation, Roehampton Education Services Ltd, to deliver pre-degree, technical and vocational education on behalf of the University of Roehampton. This is an exciting time to join Roehampton Education Services Ltd.as we develop and grow vocational education.

The Role

This role is ideal for someone who has a proven track record of learning and teaching, course management of home and international programmes, and quality assurance in further and/or higher vocational education.

Key responsibilities will include delivering exceptional student experience and outcomes on the International pathway courses, ensuring high quality learning, teaching and assessment across the subject and responsibility for teaching teams on the pre-degree, technical and vocational Business programmes at the University of Roehampton.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Teach on the International Pathway, Continuing Professional Development and School of Continuing Education courses undertaking teaching, learning, assessment and feedback responsibilities, ensuring effective module/ course planning and review.
  • Manage relevant curriculum delivery, ensuring high student experience across a diverse home and international student body.
  • Coordinate the monitoring of student progress, attendance, experience and exam readiness/ submissions, in collaboration with the Tutor (Academic Success) and Short Course Manager, conducting effective student learning support including regular 1-2-1 student ‘office hours’.
  • Proactively deliver teaching actions to ensure strong student engagement, experience and outcomes (continuation, completion and educational/ career progression) and support the Tutor(Academic Success) to enable innovative student support relevant to the cohort and level.

You should be student focused with skills and experience in the following:

  • Expertise in English Language provision for international students at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • Ability to plan and deliver high quality subject teaching and support, fostering skills and confidence across a diverse range of students.
  • Commitmentto providing high-quality teaching, learning and assessment and pastoral support to students.
  • Expertise within online delivery (synchronous and/or asynchronous)
