About the Centre/Mō te tīma
The Centre for International Health is based in, and works across, the Division of Health Sciences. We are a core component of the cross-Divisional Otago Global Health Institute (OGHI), an official University of Otago Research Centre with >140 members, with the goal of fostering multi-disciplinary global health research.
We facilitate and promote research to contribute to the understanding and improvement of health in collaboration with partners in under-resourced countries, while focusing on postgraduate training and strategic mentorship of future leaders.
The role/Te mahi
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Fellow to undertake systematic reviews, request and obtain data from global collaborators, conduct meta-analyses, and design and implement quantitative analyses of data sets on the occurrence by age of invasive salmonelloses, particularly typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, and nontyphoidal Salmonella invasive disease.
The role will involve working with study team leaders based in a range of international locations and facilitation of highly time-sensitive projects that are central to informing major global vaccine and other policy decisions.
This position represents an exciting opportunity to join one of the country's most research-intensive Universities and become part of a team helping to lead global health research in New Zealand.
