The CTR IS&DD team are looking for expressions of interest for an opportunity for a Grade 6 maternity cover role of Technology Solutions Manager. This is a maternity cover role and you will work as the lead for information technology (IT) and technical solutions within the CTR. This will cover ownership of the Centre’s research IT infrastructure, being the main link with University IT and leading on new technical solutions to enhance the Centre’s research capabilities.

With a degree in IT or a related subject (or equivalent experience) you will require excellent IT and communication skills, have experience of hardware and software support in a networked environment and experience of technology solutions within a research setting. You will also need be able to work with a number of different customers, be able to develop successful networks and deliver solutions which are practical and innovative.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week), fixed term maternity cover, that could also be administered as a secondment arrangement, based at Heath Park and is available from 2nd June 2025 until 6th February 2026.

The majority of roles at Cardiff University are currently operating under “blended working” arrangements, with staff having the flexibility to work partly from home and partly from the University campus depending on specific business requirements. Discussions around these arrangements can take place after the successful candidate has been appointed.

Salary: £40,497 - £45,413 per annum (Grade 6).

Appointments to roles at Cardiff University are usually made at bottom of scale unless in exceptional circumstances.
