About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in Imperial’s world-class School of Medicine.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality and Student Experience Administrator to join our small and busy team based in the School of Medicine Secretariat.

You will help to maintain our high standards of educational quality and to ensuring an exceptional student experience across our medical programmes, including our six-year medicine programme (MBBS) and our three-year BSc Medical Biosciences (BMB) programme. You will be at the heart of our student feedback process, managing our extensive Student Online Evaluation (SOLE) system that surveys over 11,000 clinical placements and over 60 modules annually.

You will also support a range of governance and quality management activities, including committee servicing, supporting internal and external quality reviews and working on the register of quality concerns.

The ideal candidate would need strong attention to detail while maintaining a broader perspective on how data and feedback contribute to medical education quality. They will work closely with key Faculty stakeholders and senior leadership to maintain educational excellence and develop new quality processes, as required.

What you would be doing:

In this varied and busy role, you will be involved with strategically important initiatives including:

  • Coordinating the SOLE surveying process for the School of Medicine.
  • Providing secretarial support for key quality and governance meetings.
  • Maintaining the School register of quality concerns as part of our regulatory requirements to the General Medical Council.
  • Analysing quality assurance data to help identify trends across all aspects of our student learning experiences.
  • Contributing to the development of strategies that enhance data analysis techniques to improve cohort level evaluation.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in an analytical/numerate discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A background in higher education administration.
  • A methodical and analytical approach to work with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of Qualtrics survey creation and management.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power Bi, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
  • Experience of providing customers with first-line advice and guidance, typically of a more technical nature.
  • Experience of supporting committees including collating reports and taking minutes.
  • Innovative approaches to quality management, data analysis and process improvements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and customer service skills.
