This exciting opportunity at the Brunel Centre involves joining a ground-breaking initiative at the forefront of regional economic research and development.
Located at the University of Bath, you will play a pivotal role as a Research Associate in shaping the Centre’s mission to provide cutting-edge data and insights to support sustainable and inclusive economic growth across the West of England.
Embedded in a collaborative partnership between UWE Bristol, the University of Bath, and Futures West, and funded by the Research England RED Fund, the Brunel Centre will serve as a vital hub for economic data, research, knowledge exchange and policy innovation.
Your work will involve leveraging advanced data analysis tools, working in trusted research environments, to generate real-time and long-term insights on critical urban economic challenges for the West of England.

About you
We are looking for a researcher with a passion for applying innovative methodologies to tackle complex economic issues.
You will hold (or have submitted) a PhD in urban economics or a related disciplinary field, such as housing or transport economics, and possess advanced expertise in one or more areas such as quantitative methods and spatial mapping.
You thrive in collaborative environments and have the communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Proficiency in managing research projects and working with secure data environments is essential.
