The Database Development Team Manager has a key role in leading the Database Development team to maintain and enhance the University's core systems, which support key functions such as Admissions, Student Management, Finance, HR, and Research Systems.

You should be educated to degree level or have considerable equivalent experience. You should have experience managing, mentoring and supporting a development team, as well as third-party suppliers and contractors.

You should have a strong software development background and extensive experience in Oracle database development, including familiarity with the full development lifecycle, as well as development and architectural approaches.

Experience of working with project methodologies including PRINCE2 and agile methodologies, ideally Scrum, is crucial. You should also be skilled in planning and workload management.

You should possess good analytical skills and the ability to confidently interact with a broad range of people. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required alongside strong organisational skills.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 7 salary scale (£46,735 - £55,755 per annum).
