We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and flexible individual to join the Maintenance Services team as a Remedial and Reactive Works Maintenance Manager.
The post holder will work across the University estates, liaising with various stakeholders, responding to issues raised by building occupiers and carrying out remedial repair works that are required following routine maintenance. The position will sit within the Campus Operations, Programme Maintenance Team and will have a wide and varied caseload, Works will vary and can span all trade disciplines ranging from small-scale carpet replacements up to more major projects such as boiler replacements.
The role will also work closely and support the Building Technical Specialists on planned maintenance projects, such as roofing repairs, electrical upgrades, and room refurbishments.
The post holder will sit at the centre of a wide network of trades, customers and Estates colleagues and Contractors. They will project manage individual repair jobs, overseeing and organising the relevant principle contractors or smaller sub-contractors, liaising with departments and building occupiers, communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, and making sure that works are undertaken in such a way as to reduce impact upon building users and neighbouring occupants.
