An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Solent University's careers service in the role of Employer Engagement Adviser within this dynamic and friendly team.
Solent Careers, the university’s Careers Service is seeking to recruit an Employer Engagement Adviser to support the work of the Employer Engagement Team and to secure a range of real-world learning opportunities for our students and graduates. Developing good relations with local, national, and international employers is very important to Solent University to support our students to be ‘Ready for the Future.’
This role is about ensuring that our students and graduates gain exposure to employers and their offer, either through the opportunities the team source for our online jobs board, or through our careers fairs, smaller networking events, guest speakers or via targeted initiatives like our mentoring programme. You will also work with the wider team to develop projects that will support graduate employability through liaison with employers.
The chosen candidate must have excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with employers, academics, students, graduates, and other key stakeholders successfully. You should have a passion for, and experience in creating positive and lasting relationships with employers. You should have good experience in managing clients effectively.
We are looking for someone who is motivated with a desire to make a difference to our students and graduates. We want someone who will work hard to deliver our objectives, have excellent time, and project management skills and be able to think creatively about how we deliver our employability initiatives.
You will have a good understanding of excellent customer service, account management and recruitment processes and have experience of working with and analysing data.
You will also be self-motivated, organised, and committed to supporting our students and graduates to reach their career potential.
