Professional Tutor (Anatomy, Clinical Skills and Medical Sciences)

The School of Medicine and Dentistry wishes to appoint a Professional Tutor (Medical Sciences/ Anatomy/Clinical Skills) to contribute to the delivery of modules and practical sessions within the School in the areas of Medical Sciences, Clinical Skills and Anatomy. You will support students and academic staff by way of demonstrating practical in anatomy, clinical skills and wet laboratory practical sessions in our specialist teaching facilities. You will also liaise with technical staff and have a responsibility for setting up and checking equipment for practical sessions. You will support students undertaking coursework along with related teaching duties such as invigilating examinations.

About you:

Candidates are required to have relevant experience in a scientific academic environment and hold a relevant professional qualification and/or possess the relevant experiential learning. Proven practical and theoretical skills in Medical Science and/ or anatomy and/or Clinical Skills wet laboratory environments are essential. Effective time management and excellent communication skills are a key requirement for this post. The successful candidate will also have an ability to learn new practical procedures and have an understanding of health and safety implications as appropriate to the role.
