About us

The School of Marxism of Nanjing University, with its excellent historical tradition, is an important base for Marxist theory research and talent cultivation based in Jiangsu Province and radiating across the country, and is a national key Marxist school and an advantageous discipline in Jiangsu Province. The strength of the discipline is strong, and it has formed distinctive features in the directions of research on the theory and practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, research on the creative transformation of traditional Chinese ethical and moral thoughts, research on the history of Marxist development, research on the frontiers of foreign Marxist social theories, and history of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and China's political development.

The college has a high-level faculty, with an overall size of about 80, including 2 Changjiang Scholars Distinguished Professors, 1 Four Young Talents, 1 Young Talents of Ideology and Culture of the Central Propaganda Department, 4 persons of the New Century Outstanding Talents Supporting Program of the Ministry of Education, 3 persons of the 333 High-level Talents Cultivation Project of Jiangsu Province, 2 persons of the Ministry of Education's “Selective Funding Program”, 2 persons of the Jiangsu Province Social Sciences Talents and Talents, and 2 persons of the Jiangsu Province Social Sciences Talents and Talents. In addition, there are 6 social sciences talents and excellent young people in Jiangsu Province, and 4 excellent young teachers of Civics and Politics courses in Jiangsu Province under the “Leader and Sail” Talent Program.

Job Description

  1. In teaching and personnel training: to engage in the teaching of Civics and Marxism theory personnel training work
  2. In scientific research: to independently conduct scientific research on important scientific issues in the discipline; to preside over and undertake national scientific research projects or provincial and ministerial-level teaching and research projects.
  3. In the field of discipline construction: to make contributions to the development of the discipline by obtaining research results with certain academic impact or economic and social benefits.
  4. Other aspects: to complete the work related to the construction of the College.

Requirements

  1. Abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, love the cause of teaching and research;
  2. Have good teacher ethics, abide by academic ethics, work diligently, no criminal record, no record of violation of teacher ethics and academic ethics punishment;
  3. First-class academic background: a doctoral degree in related disciplines, study and work experience in first-class teaching and research institutions, and familiarity with international cutting-edge research dynamics in related fields.
  4. Outstanding teaching ability: should have the ability to be competent in teaching the core basic courses and frontier courses of the specialty, master good teaching methods, and have strong language expression ability;
  5. Outstanding display of scientific research results and potential for future scientific research development: there should be a display of results in the relevant research direction, an original point of view on the relevant research field, clear ideas for future research programs, and good academic potential.

Remuneration

280000-330000 RMB annually
